You never really know just how much you love the place where you live till you are someplace"Foreign". I have always been grateful that I live in the Good Ol' USA. Born an American and PROUD OF IT!! Kourtney and I went to Paris France in 2001 for Kourtney to do modeling we thought it would be such an adventure, that it was!! We were only there 15 days but it seemed like a lifetime till we could get back home. It was enjoyable and we saw most of the sites. We didn't go to the "Louve" and I didn't ride to the top of the Eiffel tower (afraid of heights) but Kourtney did twice! We went from one end of this massive city to the other for "Shoots" and she could read the metro maps great. The food was yuck! Do you know they don't have peanut butter in Paris, an American Food Staple. We both would like to go back but we want to take our husbands this time.
My point I was getting at was that on the news this morning they stated that Parisians are the worst tourists, duh! They aren't very friendly to you when you visit their country. The people Kourtney worked with were very kind and we enjoyed ourselves at church so much, the gospel love is there where ever you venture. It was an awesome trip and thankful we were able to go.
So when Kourtney and I got home from our Paris trip together , and we stepped off the plan at Sky Harbor, I could have kissed the USA ground! I probably should have but since that trip over 8 years ago I have become even more aware of what a blessed land that we live in and the privileges and graces that our Heavenly father has blessed this land with. God Bless the USA!!
